![]() ![]() All over the world, people are tuning into the sound of ELO via radio, the internet, cinemas and TV. I am trying to get comfortable with downloads but it's an added expense and I still like hard copys so I am learning.Founded in Birmingham, UK in 1970 - disbanded in 1986 - Reunited briefly in 2000/2001 - Reformed since 2014 (as "Jeff Lynne's ELO")Īn incredible 35 years since their formation, the music of the Electric Light Orchestra is still as popular as ever. I read your listening machine, quite impressive with your download catalog on your computer. An early $5.00 RBCD will always trump a 2000 and something remaster SHM CD, except I did just get the lot of Megadeths, SHM CD's Remastered and Remixed and they are super good. I scour Amazon for music I like, almost 100% rock, never classical, and for the money the early 1990 releases are the best, unless there is SACD. The cardboard mini LP's of The Beatles SHM CD's are clearly better than the 2009 RBCD's and the only difference is different plastic production. My personal favorite are DVD Audios overall, I have many SHM CD and BSCD 2's and I think they are overall a little bit better. They also sell a BSCD 2 sampler with a regular CD and a BSCD 2 so you can hear the difference.Īs with all of the recordings we audiophiles listen to it is really hard to say there is such a thing as a definitive format. The Blu Spec CD's as Frank says is the quick version, best is to go to CDJapan and explore and you can get definitions, etc, or Wikipedia. Hi Jan, probably getting cold in Sweden, eh/ I touched foot in Malmo once. ![]()
